Custom Imprinted Products Ordering Information & Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum quantity for ordering custom imprinted products? Yes, the minimum quantity differs per product.
Can I order less than the minimum quantity? Possibly. Some items can be purchased at less than the minimum quantity, however, additional charges will apply – not all products can be purchased at less than the minimum, please call for more details.
If you are associated with one of our catalog programs or company stores, you may NOT purchase items at less than the minimum quantity shown for each product.
Is there a price discount if I order a larger quantity? Yes, the prices are based on the quantities ordered. For additional pricing details on imprinted products, please visit the product detail page on our web site for the specific product you are interested in.
If you are associated with one of our catalog programs or company stores, you will NOT receive a discounted price on larger quantities as you are already receiving a quantity discount based upon the size of your franchise.
Can you make products in different colors? Yes, many of the products available from Initial Impression can be produced in a wide variety of colors with a wide variety of imprint colors, subject to the availability of the required material in the specified color. Our web site lists the available color choices for each products, some products can be further customized to match the exact color match of your company’s logo at an additional charge.
If you are associated with one of our catalog programs or company stores, you may NOT purchase products in color combinations other than stated in your catalog program without prior approval from your franchise’s corporate office.
What are your artwork requirements? Artwork needs to be in a vector format file (.eps or .ai). If you do not have your artwork in this format, please send us what you have and we will review the file(s) and advise you of the best artwork solution. If your artwork needs to be converted, an art charge will apply. The standard art charge at minimum is $35 to have your logo redrawn by a graphic artist in the required .eps/.ai format. Very detailed or complicated artwork may have a higher art conversion charge.
If you have a specific color choice in mind for your custom imprinted product, be sure to let us know the PMS (Pantone Color System) code.
If your artwork is text only, please send us the text formatted appropriately in Microsoft Word or similar program, along with the specific font file. If you do not have access to the font file, we will match it as close as possible with our available fonts.
Will I receive a proof before production? For custom imprinted products you will generally receive a paper proof via email or fax to verify the imprint, however, this is not always the case. Some factories do not send pre-production proofs or may charge additionally for them, time constraints may also be a factor in whether or not you receive a proof. If a proof is essential to you, please be sure to let us know. If you require a spec-sample (physical sample) or a detailed virtual sample, this may be available to you at an additional cost.
If you are associated with one of our catalog programs or company stores and the product you are purchasing is a stock item (requiring no additional imprinting), you will not receive a proof. If the item you are purchasing is customized with your store information, you will receive a proof within 2 business days – if you do not receive a proof, please contact us as we may not have received your order.
How long will it take to receive my order? Production time on custom imprinted products depends on the quantity ordered and material being used. The standard production time is listed on the product detail page of our web site. Please be aware that production time does not begin until the artwork and layout have been approved.
If you are associated with one of our catalog programs or company stores and the product you are purchasing is a stock item (requiring no additional imprinting), your order should ship within 1-2 business days depending on availability.
If you have an event or a date by which you must have your order, please be sure to let us know. The majority of our products ship UPS Ground, but arrangements can be made to ship via a faster method at an additional cost. It is also possible to put a rush on your order, but additional rush charges will apply.
Shipping time depends on the location of the factory or factories that your order is shipping from. Initial Impression works with factories throughout the United States and it is possible, if ordering multiple items, that your order will ship separately. All orders ship UPS, FedEx, or DHL Ground. You may ship your order a different method or on your personal or company’s shipping account number, but please be sure to make note of this when placing your order. Initial Impression is not responsible for delayed orders after they have shipped.

**If ordering very large quantities that require your order to be produced at an International factory, additional production and shipping time will occur.
What is your return policy? We will gladly return or replace any defective products within 30 days of delivery. Please notify us immediately if you are not satisfied with your products so we can arrange for replacement or refund.
If your order appears to have been damaged during transit please notify us immediately so we may take the appropriate actions to get your order reproduced or issue you a refund for the damaged goods. DO NOT ship the items back to Initial Impression, as the package(s) may need to be inspected at their original destination in order to receive a full refund.
