Mort McClennan

Mort McClennan founded MCMCC in 1971. Originally Mort concentrated on engraving and manufacturing plaques. Mort, a serial entrepreneur, owns several companies but readily admits it's this one that gets him excited and provides the most fun. A true "idea man", Mort never stops offering ideas for his client's promotional programs. His company is considered one of the premier promotional products distributorship in all the Midwest. Today, he and the rest of the salespeople at MCMCC offer their clients a wide assortment of promotional products, business gifts and awards.

Alec McClennan

Alec is especially skilled at finding just the right promotional product to communicate just what his clients want to say to just the right target audience. In his 10 years of promotional product experience, Alec has developed substantial expertise working with large financial institutions and helping them motivate, train, and reward employees.


Alec graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Civil Engineering, Business, wrestled and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. In his free time, Alec, an excellent athlete, still enjoys playing football, soccer, basketball and skiing. He says that way he gets his exercise without really thinking about it. Afterwards, he's been known to enjoy a good beer (or actually, any beer).

In his other life, Alec owns a successful organic lawn care company called "Good Nature". This experience has given him the understanding of how to think like an owner… and make sure that every dollar his promotional product clients spend - delivers results. As an environmentalist, as well as a capitalist, Alec enjoys helping companies choose the latest "eco-friendly" promotional options.

Anita Birnbaum

Anita has been with MCMCC for more than 25 years serving as Vice President. After working at an in-house advertising agency for a large financial institution, Anita ran her own promotional products company (AGS Enterprises) before joining us. She is an active alumnus of Cleveland State University and active in community events. She currently enjoys specializing in non-profit organizations as well as sports marketing and works with many professional sports teams and colleges across the country. Her past affiliations include memberships with Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland and the Suite Directors Association. Her other outside interests include singing in many community concerts and extensive traveling here in the U.S. and abroad.

Barbara Arnold

Barbara recently merged her company, Arnold & Company Promotions with MCMCC. She has been in the ad specialty business for 18 years and has handled non-profit clients as well as Fortune 500 clients with company stores, serving their promotional product needs worldwide. Barbara spends most of her time at MCMCC on the Cleveland Clinic account and all its complexities with multiple satellite hospitals and wellness centers. Barbara grew up in the Cleveland area, went to Miami University and plays tournament level golf for fun.

Doug Arnold

Doug has known Mort McClennan since high school days and later in life always admired MCMCC's corporate culture of providing clients with targeted programs rather than just promotional products. This is why he and his wife recently merged their company with MCMCC. Doug's background is in organizing and running Arnold Communications Co., a marketing communications agency for 30+ years. He will be contributing his branding knowledge, P.R. background and digital media know-how to MCMCC and especially its clients. Doug has an MBA in marketing from The American Graduate School of International Management and is one of about 1800 Certified Business Communicators (CBC) in all of the United States.

Caroline McClennan

Caroline, is married to Mort and comes off the bench whenever things get busy or whenever we miss any office staff. She's also the kind of woman who graciously follows oup on any past due accounts. She's the embodiment of the honey over vinegar adage while handling the "books and billing" for MCMCC.

Dale Moravec

Dale Moravec has recently joined the McClennan group and will handle sales efforts for select accounts. He previously spent 29 years in progressively more responsible sales marketing positions at 3M Promotional Markets Business Unit, including that of National Accounts Manager.


At the McClennan Co., Dale will continue to provide clients with the same creative marketing solutions, utilizing specifically targeted promotional products. In addition to serving as the President of the Ohio Promotional Professionals Association (OPPA), Mr. Moravec has also earned the coveted Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) designation which recognizes extraordinary professionalism, unquestioned integrity and comprehensive knowledge of the promotions industry.

Dale is a graduate of Kent State University and a decorated veteran from his sacrifice and service in the Viet Nam war.

Jim Semsak

Jim has an Electrical Engineering degree and worked in research & development as well as electronic component sales for a number of years, before moving into the creative world of promotional product advertising.

Having operated his own firm for over 20 years and winning several National Pyramid Awards, symbolic of the most creative and effective programs in the industry. He joined the McClennan Company and was quickly recognized as the most creative distributor in the entire Midwest.

Jim has served as president of both regional trade associations and service clubs while volunteering his time as a tutor for high school math programs and also Adult Literacy.

He was responsible for one of the most enduring civic promotional programs in Northeast Ohio when he created the popular and ubiquitous "North Coast" campaign and is always ready to help his clients create memorable and effective promotional programs that generate results.

John Prusnek

Big John has been a staple at MCMCC for over 20 years. In addition to being extremely creative and successful at selling promotional products, John rides and rebuilds old motorcycles. That's when he's not busy at the gym.


John usually works in the office until late at night, so he's not the first in the next day….but nobody works more hours.

Michelle Calta

Michelle represents the epicenter of MCMCC. She makes sure that shipments arrive when promised and quickly takes care of any problems along the way. If anyone has questions about a job, a call to Michelle usually resolves the issue. She is extraordinarily organized and amazes all of us.
