As the president of the Christian Business Networking Association I spend much of my time managing and growing the ministry. Until the ministry needs full time management, I continue to serve clients with my 13 years experience in the promotional product business.
Even though I work with companies both small and large, I have developed a niche working with Christians who own or operate small businesses. Furthermore I have built this business almost exclusively through networking and understand the tremendous benefits and challenges of networking, the sales process and building lasting relationships.
When it comes to using promotional products as part of your marketing strategy, my philosophy is fairly simple:
1. The best uses for promotional products are: A. Part of your sales process B. Networking C. Customer appreciation D. Employee appreciation
2. Practical and useful items are best. They usually stay around much longer than cute and clever.
3. Know how you are going to use the promotional product before you buy.
