ABOUT T.Y. Custom Design, Inc.

In the 1970's shortly after graduating from college, Grace Wang began learning the particulars of the pins and patches industry while working for her relative's business in Taiwan. Shortly thereafter, equipped with the experience and know-how as well as the support of family factories, Grace immigrated to the United States to try her hand in selling pins and patches to the US market. Thus T.Y. Custom Design, Inc. was founded in 1984. The business began humbly in the family room of Grace's home in Cupertino, California. Initially, she only meant this to be part-time job, as her days were occupied raising her two children. But as her children grew up, Grace devoted more time to the business as demand for her great service and products grew. T.Y. Custom Design, Inc. expanded and became well known as a premiere source for pins and patches all around the country.

Many people ask, "What does 'T.Y.' in T.Y. Custom Design, Inc. stand for?" T.Y. is Grace's initials for her Chinese name Teh-Ying, which means honest and capable.

Grace first intended the company to specialize in pins and patches. But over time, returning customers whom were satisfied with our services began to request other promotional items and apparel. At first, Grace would refuse these requests but as her son, Jason, graduated from college he began working in the family business. T.Y. Custom Design, Inc. expanded to 2 locations and began to venture into promotional items and custom apparel.

Now with over 35 years of experience in the industry and over 25 years of operation as a business, T.Y. Custom Design, Inc. has grown into a full-service promotional products agency that offers an unparalleled selection of promotional products, custom apparel, and pins & patches. Clientele include some of the top organizations and companies around the country.
