Clay got his start in sales as a Cub Scout going door to door selling lawn fertilizer. Later, in high school, he sold ads for his high school yearbook, kick-starting his passion for sales, marketing and advertising. After spending several years selling office products, furniture and printing, he left Reno in the early 90’s for a position with a commercial printer in San Jose. That move was the beginning of a 22-year run in the printing industry, working for a mix of small, regional and national companies. A promotion opportunity allowed Clay to return to Reno in 2013, and to dive into the promotional products industry, where he most recently was on the leadership team of a national top 10 distributor group.
Clay is responsible for accelerating sales of PotentPost, the company’s newest direct mail innovation. He’s very excited about putting his decades of experience in print, promo and direct mail to work for clients who are the Reno type.
What makes Clay the Reno Type?
“I grew up in Reno and moved back here as soon as the opportunity presented itself. I love that the area still has a small-town vibe even though it’s grown quite a bit. And I love being outside, running the many trails around my house with my dog, Jasper.”
