RWM Embroidery & More started out in our home back in 1986, part time, selling promotional products to local business. Then in 1991 we moved to a store front location in downtown Smyrna and brought in our first embroidery machine. It was a single head 9 needle machine that operated by inputting designs in the machine that were created and loaded on the old 5 1/4' floppy disks, which were produced via a computer that operated off of DOS format. We also added a small engraving machine that operated from a specific format that was developed for that machine make only. There was no What You See Is What You Get, it was pot luch so to speak on engraving and we were very limited on the size of engraving jobs we could handle.

Since then many things have changed, as well as our locations. Moving from downtown to Glenwood Avenue in Smyrna we added much needed space as well as over the years we added several more embroidery machines, as well as updating our embroidery software to windows format as it became available. In 2001 we also added a windows based rotary engraver which afforded us the opportunity to expand our trophies and plaque offerings.

Continuing with our growth we moved to our present location back in 2012 and have updated our engraving machines to add Laser Engraving in addition to the rotary. In March of 2017 we installed the most advanced software to date from Gravograph, the manufacturer of our engraving systems.

Additionally, many things have changed in our embroidery. We have gone from our initial 9 needle machine to 12 needle, then 15 needles and now all our systems are 16 needle machines. All the machines we presently operate are controlled via software that controls their full operation directly from our computer. This system reads and automatically adjusts the tensions of each machine ensuring a constant tension on the thread and bobbin, along with all aspects of the embroidery, providing superior embroidery. We operate 7 machines from this operating system with the machines being from 5 years old to our most recent placed in operation May 2017. We keep each machine fully serviced with the oldest just being serviced in Oct 2017.

As we continue to grow we have remained a family owned and operated business since the beginning and will continue to remain family owned as long as there is RWM Embroidery & More.
